Kernel Update Issue

I need support for serial ports 2 and 3 and don't seem to see support for this in the kernel image available on the glomation website. I've just built a 2.6.38 kernel and am having issues booting after updating using uBoot. I'm using the rootfs on the glomation website, and it looks like I need to modify the bootargs. Currently I have

bootargs=console=ttyS0,115200 root=/dev/mtdblock2 rw rootfstype=jffs2 mtdparts=atmel_nand:1M(bootloader),3M(kernel),-(rootfs)
bootcmd=nand read.jffs2 0x21000000 0x100000 0x200000; bootm 0x21000000

I assume that /dev/mtdblock2 will need to become something else, but I'm not sure what. There's an older thread that says to modify it, but doesn't say to what. I'm also not sure how to update the default values stored in uBoot. Could someone help me?

thanks

Re: Kernel Update Issue

The kernel update has nothing to do with which MTD device is used as root file system.  Unless you changed the partition scheme then the mtdblock2 is still the valid parameter as root file system.

Please post your full boot log.  Just saying something doesn't work does not give enough information to help you.
