How much current can be drawn from 3.3V output

Hi,

I need to power up some 74LCX245 chips from a 3.3VDC supply and was wondering if the output provided on J16 on the GESBC-9G20 board could be used.

The only thing is to know how much current can be drawn to avoid damages.

If anyone knows this datum please share it...

Thanks.

Re: How much current can be drawn from 3.3V output

The 3.3V on the board is provided by a LT1117 alike linear regulator.  It is rated as 1A.  The components on the board uses about 300mA.  However the regulator chip does not have big heat sink so it is better to keep overall current consumption under 600mA.
