uarts on GESBC-9260S

Hi there,

In my GESBC-9260S board, i could not find a third uart port. My board does not have the optional RS485.

ttyS0 is debug port and working well.
ttyS1 is the DSUB9 serial port connector and working well.

for ttyS2, i check the pins in general IO header, but cant see any action on those pins.

With which connector is ttyS2 associated? Or are there any other 3rd UART option on the board?

Thank you in advance.
Burak

Re: uarts on GESBC-9260S

The pin 7 and pin 8 are the USART2 signals and it's correspond to Linux ttyS3.  Pin 9 and pin 10 are the USART3 signals and it is correspond to Linux ttyS4.  The default installed kernel may not have all the serial port enabled.   All signals are LVTTL and a RS-232 driver chip must be used in order to connect to other RS-232 devices.
