problem extracting large gzip
I am trying to put classpath onto my board, which previously extracted ine woutout problem, but since a reinstall its failing to run gzip, causing an segmentation fault:
CRC ffffffff != calculated CRC f09e7845 for node at 02d62710
kernel BUG at fs/jffs2/file.c:251!
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000000
pgd = c3af8000
[00000000] *pgd=23ae8031, *pte=00000000, *ppte=00000000
Internal error: Oops: 817 [#2]
Does this indicate faulty flash? the archive is 8MB and extracts to 24MB. smaller archives are ok. I have also tried copying the tar file across and just extracting that with the same result.
Thanks,
Steve

Re: problem extracting large gzip
Turned out to be a power supply issue causing corruption during flash writing
