How to FTP to the board? Or in general how to send over files

I got a crossover cable and I assigned the board ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.2 and gave my machine 192.168.1.1.  Found that the web server is running, that is pretty neat. But I couldn't FTP to the board. Do I need to install a server? Or is one already running? Or is there some other way that people get files to and from the board?

Thanks.

Re: How to FTP to the board? Or in general how to send over files

The small embedded file system installed from factory only has basic Unix/Linux functionalities provided by Busybox.  You can install a FTP server or any other utility you would like to use.  The Busybox does provide TFTP client that you can use to transfer files.  You can also use the Busybox ftpget, or wget, or a USB drive, etc.

Forgot to mention NFS mount.  It is the most convenient of all above.
